Apple Going Wireless With iPhone 7

Apple the American based consumer electronics giant last week released there new smart phone offering the iPhones 7. The new phone was an improvement in many ways on the previous model. For one think it now also comes in jet black which looks very slick. It it is also water proof and splash resistant so no need to worry if you spill water on it. I don’t know how if would go being dropped in the pool or toilet but presumably if you finish it out quickly it will survive. The biggest change though is the lack of the earphone jack.

It would appear that with the introduction of the new iPhone 7 that Apple is going completely wireless. As you may have heard the without the earphone jack the iPhone 7 user will now need a wireless headset to listen to music or use the phone with earphones. Whilst many have complained then will still be an adaptor in the box which plugs into the lightning port. You just won’t be able use your earphones whilst charging, which might be a good thing.

Despite all the criticism the new addition to the Apple family seems pretty good. They are sure to sell millions of them as they usually do. Whether the new iPhone 7 arrests the decline in iPhones handset sales is another thing.

AUD Falls Back Sharply From Three Week High

Positive trade numbers from Australia and China initially pushed the AUD higher. Our exports rose by 3% thanks to an increase in the iron ore price and gold shipments whilst imports shrank by 0.4% leading to a reduction of the trade deficit. AUDUSD touched a three week high as Chinese imports increased by more than expected and export growth returned too.

But then the European Central Bank decided to keep interest rates unchanged and said that lacklustre growth did not warrant prolonging its €80 billion (A$118 billion) monthly asset-purchase programme, which will continue until March. The ECB boss, Mario Draghi, dismissed fears that negative interest rates hurt the banking system. Euro was the strongest currency. This intern boasted the Euro and dragged down the AUD.

Rio Olympic Game 2016

As you very well may know the Olympic Games 2016 are set to start in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil soon. The games will be attended by countries from all over the world including Australia. Australia has fielded athletes in most if not all the sports being represented at the Olympics. We can expect that the Australian Olympic team will win medals in heaps of different competitions.

One of the competitions they probably won’t win medals in would be wrestling. That’s not because Australian aren’t good at wresting but because wrestling has been omitted from the Olympics. This was a very disappointing move considering that wrestling was one of the original Olympic sports. If they needed more room for new sports they could have gotten rid of any number of boring sports like dressage or what every it is called.

Lucky we still supply heaps of mats to wrestlers who like to refer to them as wrestling mats. They call them wrestling mats because they wrestle on them. Mainly they training on our EVA interlocking wrestling mats. Some people may use them for competition but mainly they would use specific wrestling mats. You know the ones with the big circle.

Donald Trump and EVA Interlocking Jigsaw Mats

As you may very well know the elections are coming up in America. The two candidates for the election look to be Hillary Clinton and Donald Tump. The election looks to be a very entertaining election and many people think there could be repercussion if either candidate should win. There has been a lot of discussion about Donald Trump and what may happen if he wins the election. Of particular concern is is stance on trade.

It is our belief that the election of Donald Trump (or Donaldo Trumpo as he in know in Latin America) should not have any significant effect on EVA interlocking jigsaw mats. Most of the mats in the world are manufactured in China or Taiwan. There may be mats manufactured elsewhere but not in significant enough quantities to make much different. There might be jigsaw mats that are manufactured in USA but I have not come across them so far. The same can be said about jigsaw mats in Australia and Europe.

If anything it may have a positive effect on EVA interlocking jigsaw mats for the consumer. If Donaldo should lift tariffs in America then there may be a glut of jigsaw mats on the market. On the other hand if his election should cause angst and fear in America (angst is the German word for fear BTW) then you may see a rush to purchase jigsaw mats for martial arts training etc. Either way I just don’t know if the election of Donald Trump (formerly Drump) will have any significant effect on the price or market for EVA interlocking jigsaw mats.

What are MMA Mats?

Are EVA mats and Rubber mats the same?

 

Stictly speaking rubber mats and EVA mats are not exactly the same. Although EVA jigsaw mats are often referred to as rubber mats as they have a similar finish and are both derived from synthetic rubber. EVA mats are made from EVA which is an elastomeric polymer that produces a materials which is rubber-like in softness and flexibility. EVA foam is also used as padding in equipment for various other sports and applications

Rubber mats are usually black with different colour flecks. They can also be found in other colours. Rubber mats are heavier and more dense then EVA interlocking jigsaw mats.

Rubber mats, invariably a polymer, are a type of artificial elastomer mainly synthesised from petroleum byproducts. EVA is one of the materials popularly known as expanded foam or just foam.
