If you are looking at setting up a gym then you will want to consider installing padded wall mats (also known as wall padding). When you are conducting an activity where there is a lot a movement around your training area it pays to be conscious of the position hazards your walls may hold. Running and jumping around creates a lot of possibilities of collisions with the walls. Especially with martial arts when people are sparring of grappling and are often not totally aware of there position.
Not only is having wall padding important due to safety concerns it also enhances the look of your gym. The only colour options we currently offer are black and blue. These are the most in demand colours which is why we have them in stock. In the future we might also stock other colours but that depends on demand for the products. You may however require different colours to match your corporate identity or logo. Lead-time for special order mats is around 6-8 weeks depending on the time of the year. For example during Chinese New Year and leading up to Christmas production times might be extended due to the factory being closed or increased production. If you know you will require mats in the future it is better to plan ahead so that you get your mats on time. Although we do our best to push the production schedules sometimes there is not much we can do about it like during CNY when the factories close down for two weeks.
Special order and custom mats don’t need to be confined to colour. Sometimes customer require longer mats or wide mats. This is also something which we can arrange. Again there are lead-times we need to adhere to and the orders will need to be priced on an individual basis. There might also be size restrictions etc depending on material availability.
Our customers are our most important asset. Without customers a business can’t operate as it requires revenue to pay staff and bills. The same rules apply for any gym or training organisation. If you value your customers then it is important to create a safe training environment. This is the reason you require padding on both the wall and the floor to protect your customers. While there is no substitute for a well thought over plan and common sense it is also necessary to have adequate safety equipment in your training area.
While padding floors and walls will not prevent all injuries they will go a long way to keeping your customers safe. Make sure your plan ahead to ensure the longevity of your business through a safe training regime and safety equipment.
Wall padding is used for a number of organisations. The most obvious use for them is in a martial arts gym. If you have ever walking into a jiu-jitsu or karate studio then you would most probably seem wall pads. Granted there are those that think mirrors are a good option but once you have seen a student go crashing into your wall mounted mirrors you will know why padding was a much better option.
Martial arts organisations are not the only places where you will find wall pads. Any activity where there is vigorous movement and a chance of people crashing into one another or into the walls are a ideal candidate for padded wall. Places such as gymnastics or acrobatics training studios are very likely to have padded walls. You will also find padded walls in prisons, hospitals, schools and any other place that necessitates a safe environment.
